It was so great to see Jennifer and Josh again after a couple of years of having covered their wedding. This time, they had hired me to capture the next stage of their lives … expecting an addition to their family. It’s awkward for me to say that they had “hired” me, as I deem them as great friends. When I arrived at their place for their maternity session, it was like catching up with good ol’ friends over a cup of freshly brewed coffee.
It was my first time in their beautiful home and what a great space it was in preparation for Baby Clark. Yes, they had no qualms about sharing their baby’s name beforehand, for they had determined that he was to be named after Superman’s alter-ego Clark Kent (apparently, I was one of the few that got this reference…haha!). The nursery couldn’t have been more “Clarkesque”. Look carefully at the intricately-made quilt of superhero icons!
Well, Jennifer and Josh were (are) going to be awesome parents knowing how great they work together and the natural affection they have for each other. I was humbled when they had mentioned at the session that they wanted me to meet Clark so stay tuned because two months after this session, I did!
